Matteo’s cuisine is a declaration of love for Piedmont. It reflects all the mastery of the chef and his passion for enhancing the products and the gastronomic heritage of the Piedmontese lands.
Creative and elegant dishes, which bow to tradition but know how to interpret it in a contemporary way, able to enhance the region’s exquisite, geniuine ingredients.
The chef welcomes his guests in a refined and familiar environment. The elegant room overlooks the romantic garden with a terrace that offers a breathtaking view of Lake Orta and Monte Rosa.

OUR VEGETABLE GARDEN WELCOMES la Darbia GUESTS INTO A WORLD OF SEASONAL AROMAS. IT INVITES THEM TO TAKE A SENSORY WALK AMONG VIEWS, SCENTS AND COLOURS. THE VEGETABLES AND AROMATIC HERBS, SELECTED AND GROWN USING ORGANIC METHODS, ARE THE DAILY INGREDIENTS OF OUR MENU.
AND WHEN EVENING FALLS, THE GARDEN BECOMES AN OPEN-AIR LIVING ROOM, WHERE YOU CAN ENJOY AN APERITIF WHILE WATCHING THE GLITTERING WATERS OF THE LAKE AT SUNSET.
The restaurant is open to both la Darbia guests and anyone who wishes to enjoy a truly unique culinary experience on Lake Orta.
